ImmersiLearn Video empowers anyone to create, teach, and present with immersive video backgrounds—right in the browser, with privacy and simplicity at its core. We believe in making advanced video tools accessible to everyone, without the need for downloads or cloud processing.

What is ImmersiLearn Video?

ImmersiLearn Video is a web app for live webcam background removal. It supports both chroma key (green/blue screen) and AI-based background removal, letting you replace your background with a custom image, blur, or solid color. Everything runs in your browser—no uploads, no privacy worries.

How it Works

The app uses your webcam feed and processes it in real time using chroma keying or AI segmentation (MediaPipe SelfieSegmentation). You can adjust settings, pick backgrounds, and download snapshots or recordings—all without leaving your browser or uploading any video data.

About the Project

ImmersiLearn Video was created as part of the Wales Collaborative for Learning Design (WCLD) project at Wrexham University. The project aims to make immersive media tools accessible and private for everyone. Built with Next.js, MediaPipe, and shadcn/ui, it's open source and welcomes contributions and feedback.

The WCLD project supports educational technology adoption across Wales and beyond, providing tools and resources for educators and learners.
